Ricardo & Geoff
Meet your hosts
Originally from Brazil but with treble nationality (Portuguese by descent and British by right), Ricardo Barros is a professional musician, choreographer, Baroque dancer, and stage director who has lived the past 31 years in England. An Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, he has been lucky to work worldwide with some of the most eminent artists in his fields, notedly with his Mercurius Company and other leading ensembles in Europe. He is a dedicated pedagogue, teaching privately and in Conservatoires, Summer schools, workshops and masterclasses. He was, for 10 years, the chairman of the EADH-European Association for Dance Historians. He published his PhD thesis Dance as a Discourse and the series of choreographic books NCD-New Collection of Dances. A lover of animals, good food, and good company, he looks forward to welcoming guests and course participants at
Palazzo Migliazzi!

London born and bred Geoff Lea is a multifaceted man. Having trained as a mechanical engineer (and having developed fixtures and appliances most British people have come across once or twice), he turned to IT and industrial CAD design in the last 30 years. He has also developed his artistic side with many graphic design works, and like Ricardo he is an affectionate animal lover. A keen traveller, he is looking forward to sun-soaked Summer weekends at the Ligurian Riviera. With his extensive managerial skills, he'll ensure the Palazzo runs like a tight ship!
